How did you get started in fitness?
After celebrating my 40th birthday and looking at my family photos, I decided it was time to focus on my health and to get “in shape”. I started a nutritional eating program, joined a gym and began my journey to a healthier lifestyle. Two years ago I was turning 50 and decided that I needed to do something to push myself out of my comfort zone so I entered a Fitness Competition, to my surprise I placed 2nd in the Masters category. I then decided to do a second one, where I came 4th in the Masters category and 1st in the Grandmasters category, qualifying for the 2015 OPA Provincials.
I thoroughly enjoyed the discipline of the training and meeting all the wonderful strong and supportive women throughout the preparation that it sparked a dream I had had off and on for the past few years about becoming a personal trainer/coach/mentor.
So after almost 30 years in the corporate world I am finally pursuing that dream. I am so excited to begin this new chapter of my life.
What is your specialty with Team Bunny? Personal Training and Coaching women over 40.
What is your favourite workout songs? I have several, but am currently listening to the Ambassadors, James Bay and The Weeknd.
What is your favourite workout routine? Shoulders are my favourite body part to train.

What is your favourite supplement of choice?
I must say that my supplement of choice is now the Zija SuperMix. I felt like I had hit a wall with my current training and was seriously thinking I had a sleeping disease. I was taking all my regular supplements plus some additional adrenal support, which in the past has usually helped me through my training but not this time. I started taking the Zija SuperMix 3 days ago and what a difference, I no longer want to nod off every 10 minutes and have my energy back. The best part is that I just mix it with water, drink and I am done for the day. No more carrying around a ton of pills.
What are a few of your accomplishments in the industry so far?
- Qualified for 2016 OPA Provincials
- 2nd Place, Figure Grand Masters, 2015 GNC OPA Gala Championships
- Qualified for 2015 OPA Provincials
- 1st Place Figure Grand Masters, 2014 GNC OPA Gala Championships
- 4th Place, Figure Masters Tall, 2014 GNC OPA Gala Championships
- 2nd Place, Masters, 2014 Fitness Star International
- Completed several 5 and 10 K races
- Completed the Angus Glen Half Marathon Nov 2007 (2:11)
- Completed the Chicago Marathon October 2007 (sub 5)
- Completed Toronto Half Marathon October 2006 (2:02)
If you could do one thing in the fitness industry, what would it be?
I know this sounds cliché, but I really just want to inspire others and help them make positive changes for themselves and to be a part of that journey. If just one person says because of you I did this, then I have done what I set out to do with making the change to follow my passion.
Who inspires you in the fitness industry? Jill Bunny, she has faced adversity and risen above it and does not let it stand in the way of her accomplishments; if anything it makes her stronger. I have learned from Jill that anything is possible as long as you put your heart and soul into it and you believe you can do it. You are your only competition; strive to be a better version of yourself for yourself
What are your personal goals in the fitness industry & competitions? My personal goal is to be the best Coach and Mentor for my clients. My competition goals are to continually improve my physique; place at a Provincial level and then ultimately compete at a National level.
Why did you decide to work with Tea
I wanted to be part of a team where Women support Women. I have been with Team Bunny for just over 2 years now and have met the most amazing and supportive women and made some pretty awesome new friends!
