Success Story - Nina Milling

It has been an incredible year of personal growth and a huge part of that has been because I met Jill who became my mentor and fitness coach. it took me three years and three personal trainers until I finally found Jill; a coach with a holistic approach to training. The other personal trainers were focused on exercise but the plans were generic and they had nothing to offer nutritionally, so I saw little change in my body composition. I also tried going it alone for about 12 months but i could not get my body to the state that i saw on the fitness magazines; which was my ultimate goal. Jill changed all that in less than 4 months. When I met her I loved was soooo many things about her! First off, she is the real deal. She lives what she teaches, she is a positive and outgoing woman, she never let me get down on myself when I had to compromise my plan because of work or home life circumstances, she believed in me when i had my doubts, and most of all she is truly a genuine, caring and fu...

The Infamous Grocery Shop!

Image
Grocery shopping can be quick, easy and enjoyable. Here are some tips to ease the burden! 1. Pick the Ideal Time: Make sure you pick a day and time to shop that allows you to make smart decisions. 2. Don’t Go Hungry: Shopping while hungry is a bad idea when you are trying to resist temptations and stay on plan. Try making sure that you have had a meal before going into the grocery store so you aren’t tempted by the cravings. 3. Make a List – Before going into the grocery store, write a list of what you need and stick to it! 4. Keep to the Store Perimeter: Stay on the outsides of the grocery store. This is where you will find the staple foods you should be consuming; protein, fruits, veggies and whole grains. 5. Read the Labels: If you don’t recognize or know the ingredients, put the item back on the shelf. 6. Buy in Bulk: Bulk purchases save you time and money. Costco is a good example of a great store to get the majority of your purchases. Happy Food Shopping Bunnies!

[dt_sc_tabs_horizontal] [dt_sc_tab title="About"] After celebrating her 40th birthday and looking at the family photos, Teresa decided it was time to focus on her health and to get “in shape”. At age fifty, she wanted to challenge herself further and decided to enter a Fitness Competition. She placed 2nd in the Masters category. During preparation for this competition, Teresa met Jill Bunny and with Jill’s support and encouragement Teresa entered her second Fitness Competition. She came 4th in Figure Masters Tall and 1st in Grand Masters, qualifying for the 2015 OPA Provincials.
