Tell us a bit about yourself: I Was born in Sudbury and moved to Brampton when I was 20 years old and began my life where I met husband and started our own family with one amazing little boy that makes life so much more interesting and fulfilling . I have been the lucky one to have such a great support system. Family is everything and when things come down to it I know that my family will always be there to back me up and help me achieve my goals.
How did you get started in fitness?
I started when I was in high school and my passion for fitness really started when I joined my first gym at age 19 and started teaching aerobics along with personal training. I love learning and educating myself. In 2005 I participated in my first competition and loved the challenge of the workout and eating plan and learned so much. I also fell in love with Crossfit and what it was all about; not just the workouts but how it was like a family and everyone encouraged each other to just be who they are. I started focusing a lot on Crossfit along with educating myself on the nutrition aspect of it. I came to realize by watching and working out with all these amazing Athletes that the biggest issue with them was they did not know how to fuel their bodies with all of the effort they would put into their workouts. I wanted to help educate my clients on how to eat healthier and that eating less wasn’t better.
What is your specialty with Team Bunny?
(PT / Nutrition) Nutrition is definitely my specialty. I do love training but my passion is nutrition. I have learned from experience that even though you are eating healthy but are having trouble seeing results it all comes down to your digestive system and everyone of us is different. I suffer from IBS, Ulcerative colitis and lactose intolerance. It has been a struggle and has taken me years to figure out what my body can eat. Knowing what triggers inflammations and being aware of it makes life a lot easier. I love planning and researching different supplements that will help me and my clients feel better. When you suffer from any illness we all have the same goal in mind and it is to find a solution. If I can help just one person feel better then I’m doing what I love to do.
What is your fav workout songs? Any Top 40 pop and dance
What is your favorite workout routine?
I don’t have anything specific .I enjoy Crossfit metcon classes and love training back and shoulders (probably because I can see the muscles).
What is your favorite supplement of choice?
Probiotics by far have been the best thing I have ever done for my digestive system. BCAA’s helps me with energy and I like the fact that I can always change it up and have new flavors which I will sip throughout the day
What are a few of your accomplishments in the industry so far?

If you could do one thing in the fitness industry, what would it be?
To educate and teach everyone that food is not the enemy. So many people just don’t realize how making healthier choices doesn’t mean you have to stop doing the things you love. I want to educate kids, teen, adults and the elderly the importance of what we put into our bodies can be harmful but with proper nutrition we can all live longer, happier and healthier lives. It’s not about how you look on the outside that’s important s; it’s about how you feel.
Who inspires you in the fitness industry?
I always looked up to a lot of fitness athletes but never really knew why; if it was for how they looked or how well they did their sport. Once I met Jill I realized that no one really inspired me and I was just looking on the outside and not knowing anything about the individual. Then I met Jill Bunny and got to know her and have realized that she inspires me to be better; that I’m capable of anything; to shut down any negative thoughts of I can’t achieve a goal or its about me being happy and if others want to be negative then you don’t need them in your life to bring you down. Jill is a strong, caring, giving and powerful women and that is how she is as a person. I love her positivity and every moment I get to talk to her or see her, she makes me feel stronger and gives me the energy and positivity to keep pushing even when it gets hard.
What are your personal goals in the fitness industry & competitions? My goal is to compete as a SAF Elite in October and to get my pro card. I will be compete in OPA in August.
Why did you decide to work with Team Bunny?
I decided to work with Team bunny because when I first met Jill to get ready for a fitness competition she was amazing: the support and positivity she always had towards me brighten up my day. Anytime I would talk to her my mood completely change and so did my thoughts I was a happier person.
I love the idea of an all women group. That we are focusing on helping women to overall feel better about themselves whether it be doing a fitness competition , learning to love themselves or just to coach them. It could be nutrition or training or sharing stories with each other and learn and grow. I love that Jill is about helping everyone be successful in their life with their career, family, health and fitness .
