Tell us about yourself! I am a 46 year old Mom of two boys aged 16 and 19. I am married to an amazing man named Jim. I run my own jewellery and accessory business where I design and create my own jewellery which I am wholesaling to 17 shops and boutiques surrounding Waterloo. I LOVE my job.
What made decide to join the 21 Day Kick starter program with Team Bunny?
I hurt my back over 5 years ago. It has really forced me many times to not be able to work out. That being said, I put on weight over those years. I wanted my old body back and to try to strengthen my core so maybe I won’t have so many setbacks with my back in the future.
Was it everything you expected?
It was more. I didn’t think I would see the results I saw in only 21 days. I had a lot of doubters that I would get the results I got so quickly but I got to say I told you so. I did however find it quite overwhelming the first week. I would have liked more check in’s with me and possibly links so I wouldn’t have to look up all the different workout routines. As someone who had never worked out before with weights, I found that was an added stress having to keep looking things up hoping I was doing them right. When I did reach out myself I got help but I think I would have liked to know I was being checked in on more often.
What is your cheat meal?
LOL. I did not hold back on the 3 cheat meals.
1st cheat meal – burger and fries.
2nd cheat meal – Homemade pasta with Bolognese
3rd cheat meal – homemade pizza
Did you have a moment of weakness? If so when and why?
Only one day on a Friday, I had a small glass of wine due to some unexpected stress that arose that day. It was well warranted and after that I didn’t cheat again.
What is your favorite body part to workout?
I would say my arms. I would really like to see my biceps more defined and slimmed down.
Why have you chosen to be apart of Team Bunny?
My friend Michelle recommended me to the program and when I saw her results I felt it was something that was for me. I needed a kick start to get me near where I wanted to be and once I got there it has now motivated me to continue working out. Although my back has been really bad this week and I think 21 straight days have taken its toll on it. I am going to work out 3-4 days a week so as not to make my back worse again.
What do you enjoy most about Team Bunny?
I like that it is all women. I also like that I didn’t have to join a gym to do it. I’ve never been a gym person and prefer to workout at home. I like being inspired by other women who care about their bodies inside and out and lose weight and gain muscle the healthy way.
What are your fitness Plans in the future? I plan to continue working out 3-4 days a week. I love some of the supplements and will continue with those as well. I’m going to really stick to watching what I eat and putting things I’ve learned to good use.
