Tell us about yourself! Education, work, family!

Been working in the fitness and health industry for over 10 years. I  started off as an aerobics instructor transitioned to personal trainer, and recently found my love for crossfit about 4 years ago .I immediately got my Level 1 Crossfit Certification and was hooked , since then I have completed  a few of their certifications including; gymnastics, mobility and kids certs and consistently educating myself. The past  couple of years I have been focusing a lot  more on the nutrition part of it as I have always struggled with my digestive system and the long battle try to find out what foods were best for my body . I am a personal trainer at the Bao Institute in Georgetown and have recently launched a nutrition program to help members reach their fitness goals .I am also a coach at Crossfit FirePower in Milton where I will coach classes but  my main focus is working on helping members with their nutritional needs creating meal plans, journaling ,1 on 1 coaching and having me there for accountability. I am a mother of a 6 year old boy who is my life and married to amazing father and husband. They have  the most patience and has always been there and supportive  for all my crazy adventures.

What do you like to do outside of the gym & regimented eating?

I’m not going to lie before I started training for this competition I hadn’t done any bodybuilding since my last competition which was 9 years ago. If I’m not in the gym working, you will find me at Crossfit  6 out of the 7 days and the rest of the time is with my son Zavier. We go for hikes, beach days, or play around the house. My eating has always been pretty clean all my meals are balanced and I will allow myself a cheat once or twice a week . I stay away from dairy and gluten as much as I can but I will treat myself every year for my birthday a dairy queen blizzard

What made you get into the fitness industry & competition? Is this your first competition?

This is my second competition I did FAME 9 years ago. Ever since I had my son I have been wanting to do another one just to push myself and see what my body and mind can do.Also to see the difference in how I would look like now that I have incorporated new workout regimens coming mostly from crossfit in the past 3 year . I want to show to people that with hard work and determination anything is possible its just how bad do you really want it.

Who inspires you in the fitness industry?

I have always looked up to Christmas Abbot I think she is an amazing athlete , strong, beautiful women. Then I met Jill Bunny. I admire everything she has been through and where she is today. I love  her positivity and every moment I get to talk to her or see her she makes me feel stronger and gives me the energy and positivity to keep pushing even when it gets hard .

What is your cheat meal? My cheat meal would be some kind of sweets !I love coconut ice cream mixed with almond butter and a crushed up quest bar .

What is your favorite body part to workout? My favorite body part to workout is my shoulders.

Why have you chosen to be apart of Team Bunny? I chose Team Bunny because I wanted that support from other athletes that would be going through the same emotions that I would . I support people daily with my passion and want to experience more support with this great team of women!
What do you enjoy most about Team Bunny?What I enjoy most is that you can asked them anything and you will always have an answer. I love how we all stick together as a team

What are your personal goals in the fitness industry & competitions?

My goals is to one day get my Pro card  and as for the fitness industry I want to continue educating myself to be able to one day work for myself and help other people with their dreams or health goal. I love when my clients reach their goal and I just want to educate them the proper and healthy way of eating . That it’s something you choose as a life style and overall you will feel and look better
