What steps did you have to do during your 12 week transformation to change your lifestyle?
- Completely overhaul my nutrition habits
- Meal plan every week
- Run 5km at least 5 times per week on top of a ton of walking, stair climbing and conditioning workouts!
- Strength train consistently and follow the plan!
- Take supplements/vitamins consistently
- Drink a ton of water and get at least 8 hours of sleep each night
- Change my mindset & dig deep even on the days I didn’t feel motivate.
What was your goal for the transformation? I wanted to drop my body fat, get lean, toned and strong. Also wanted to rock a pair of Nike Pro shorts!
How did you feel during the 3 phases? It was slow going at first, then all of a sudden my body was changing before my eyes. I stayed focused on what needed to be done and stopped looking at the numbers/measurements. That’s when I started to notice changes to how I felt inside and how I looked on the outside.
What was the best part of the process?Investing and committing to myself! Making the time for self-care and building my body is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
What was your least favorite part of the transformation?
I had a lot of cravings and wanted to just go back to eating whatever I wanted at times, but reminded myself that my body feels better when I give it proper nutrition. The time commitment every day to make this a reality..it’s really a lifestyle change!
Did you have a moment of weakness? If so, when and why?
Of course I did! My plan went through the Christmas season so there was temptation everywhere. I allowed myself to enjoy everything I wanted in moderation guilt free and just forged ahead back to healthy habits afterward. It’s all about balance.
What was the best thing about your journey with team bunny? Jill supported me every step of the way. In the past when I would set a goal, I never knew for sure if it was going to get me anywhere. With her, I trusted in her advice & recommendations and stuck with the plan! I am more fit now than when I was a police officer!!
What was your favorite food?I looked forward to my homemade popcorn with coconut oil night every week! Also loved the Green Protein Smoothies!
What was your least Favorite food?I had to get really creative with egg whites!
Tell us about you’re your daily life before the plan…. And your life now. I went to the gym and ate relatively healthy before, but it was unclear how much I should be eating and when to maximize my results. At the gym I just flew by the seat my pants with no real plan in place..a little of this a little of that. NOW I know exactly what to eat & when. Each day I look at my schedule and know how much cardio I’m doing, what parts of my body I’m strengthening and when I will put nutrients into my body. I trust it because it works. And I feel AMAZING! No more digestive problems or feel energy fluctuations. I feel balanced.
Was it everything you expected?I have tried working with fitness coaches in the past without luck. Jill kept things simple, straight-forward and real. I was able to follow a simple plan that worked for me to stay consistent every week. She was my guide but ultimately I had to put in the hard work day in & day out!
When you were finished your 12 week transformation, what did you do?I treated myself to a trip to the Dominican with my love for a week long vacation of fun!
What are your plans for the future with health and fitness? This is only the beginning...I plan to take it up a notch now that I have gotten this far. My next round I plan on booking a photo shoot and maybe even enter a competition! I am committed to mastering my body inside and out with a healthy lifestyle.
